Jon Farber is an accomplished artist, photographer, and critical care nurse with a deep passion for creativity and the natural world. As an artist, Jon specializes in automatic drawing, mindfulness, and flow art, using these techniques to explore the boundaries between consciousness and spontaneity. His artistic work is a reflection of his dedication to mindfulness, often drawing inspiration from his practice of meditation and his experiences in nature.
In addition to his artwork, Farber is an avid endurance runner and trail running photographer, averaging 1,000 to 1,200 miles annually. He trains in, and captures the rugged beauty of the Mount Rose Wilderness Area in Northern Nevada. His photography offers a unique perspective on the landscapes, wildlife, and hidden moments of the wilderness, combining his love of running with his creative eye.
With more than ten years of experience as a critical care nurse, Jon has developed a deep expertise in the management of critically ill patients. He also serves as a nursing clinical instructor at a university, and runs a creative education brand for nurses, which includes illustrated guides, learning tools, and apparel for nurses and nursing students.
